In vain is what just has the appearance, something without foundation, without efficacy.

 

This piece talks about the systemic oppression experienced in and from a woman's body. The feeling of alienation in an expropriated, colonized body. Of a forced and devalued existence, marked by imposed roles, by the you-have-to-be, desirable, productive. An identity that is sought, confused, in a hostile terrain.

 

In exhaustion, a memory emerges, the universal wisdom of the body: the umbilical cord that unites us to the earth, to life. A cry for tenderness and truth: the first need to love oneself, without conditions.

 

“No In Vane” is a proposal that strongly fuses the rhythm of the electric drums with the movement and the aerial rope. It shows a situation of vulnerability experienced firsthand. A desire for liberation, acceptance and change, so as not to exist in vain.
