Hybr-ID
Harmony and distortion. Everything moves, everything gravitates, everything resonates. Among cables, speakers, and suspended bodies, the subwoofer sways just centimeters above the ground. Legs, hands, and musical instruments sound, weigh, and float—bodies that resonate, bodies and objects.
Harmony emerges when everything fuses together: music with circus, the human with the environment it inhabits. The boundaries between identity and materiality dissolve, creating a hybridization: Who is what? Why does the human dominate matter? Aesthetic pleasure arises, immersing us in a fascinating, immersive, and hypnotic reality. But hypnosis is also blind, and let’s not forget: humans are arrogant and always want more. What if, in reality, they are dominated by themselves? What if they are pathetic, uncomfortable, even laughable? And so we laugh, surrendering to this absurd, fragile, hegemonic, humble, and proud humanity. Harmony and distortion. Everything moves, everything gravitates, everything resonates.
hybr-ID is an exploration of suspension, vibration, and movement between material and human bodies, delving into the boundaries between music, circus, and human behavior in relation to the environment we inhabit.
