In Vain is that which has only appearance, something without foundation, without efficacy.

This piece speaks of the systemic oppression experienced in and from a woman's body. The feeling of alienation in an expropriated, colonized body. Of a forced and devalued existence, marked by imposed roles, by the "you must be" — desirable, productive. An identity that is sought, confused, in a hostile terrain.

In exhaustion, a memory surfaces, a universal wisdom of the body: the umbilical cord that connects us to the earth, to life. A cry to tenderness and truth: the primal need to love oneself, unconditionally.

No En Vano is a proposal that powerfully fuses the rhythm of the electric drum with movement and rope. It shows a situation of vulnerability lived through the body. A desire for liberation, acceptance, and change, so as not to exist in vain.
